CKC forgeries on the fourth

Just a quick share while I am waiting for the paste to dry on my next lo. When I saw this months CKC kit the first thing that struck me was the gorgeous colours and how much I loved it. The second was how easy it was going to be to forge those cute little banners

So I got my papers, some little stamps and wordfetti along with my punch and this is the result...

I also made this one and got so excited I used it straight away with a little frame around the word...

The top ones are going on said lo waiting for paste to dry so will be back soon to share the final result.
Hope you are having a wonderful day and thanks for popping by..Jx

First day of school - SOS January challenge

Good morning. Well this lo had a slower start than previous ones but have finally got a finished product that I am happy with.
This lo started out as a "just because I can lo" but yesterday I was checking out some blogs I follow and realised that with the addition of some paper clips it would qualify for the Scrap Our Stash challenge. By chance I had these cute little shirt and pants paper clips already on my desk that I was looking at adding anyway. I have followed the bottom line in the tic tac toe grid - twine, paper clip & the colour blue.

I should still be unpacking boxes from our move but creating is just so much more fun so I am off to start another...
Have a great day & thanks for popping by..Jx

CKC January 17 kit - "..A new ending"

Well hello again today. Boy was it hot today. Almost too hot to scrap but I did manage to put together my CKC kit. Absolutely love the colour scheme to this months kit and started out going completely overboard especially with papers. But as I don't seem to use a lot of paper in my lo's these days I decided to scale it back a bit (although I have kept out what I am calling the 'B" kit, just in case ;D )
This is the original kit based on a new collection from Kaisercraft called ubud dreams...

And this is what I have put together for my kit.
Some papers...
Alphas. You can never have too many alphas...
I love my mixed media and mists so have included a few of these...
And of course all the finishing goodies...
I was thinking of a name for my kit and was thinking along the lines of new beginnings & new possibilities, what with it being the start of a new year, and we moved to a new home in a new city just before Christmas. But then I found this quote and loved it so the name of my kit is
"A new ending"
Don't be defeated by your past. It is never too late to start living how you want.:

So on that note, I am off to create some new endings :D
Have a great day..Jx

Show us your stuff January challenge

Good morning. It's turning out to be a hot one here today so I may well have to continue my scrapping fest in order to stay out of the heat ;D hehe.
Todays share is for the Show us your stuff January challange...

This is the mood board and the link...

I love these photos I took of my daughter at the beach on Christmas day 2015. Santa hat, a sparkly dress about 3 sizes too small and the colour of that water - love it!
I have taken my inspo from the beach pictures (obviously) but also the strips of colour with the image off to the side. Used my gelatos with a baby wipe to achieve the effect and some good old kindy glitz for some sparkle on my frame. And see that little "bow" pin? I made that :0 It was one of those pearl end pins with some ribbon threaded on and squeezed up to make a bow. I have made a few of these and they are especially nice on baby boy cards. (Probably baby girl cards too but I don't have any pink ribbon haha)
Well, must continue with my scrapping while the force is still strong. Hope you have a great day & thanks for popping by..Jx

Kraft+ January challenge - On your bike

Well if the saying start as you mean to continue is anything to go by, then I should be in for a great scrappy year! After packing and moving house over the last couple of months I have finally been able to create something, just in time for the start of the new year. When this challenge at Kraft+ popped up just after midnight I knew exactly what photo I wanted to use.
At our old house we had an outdoor shower and when she was younger, my wee one used to LOVE riding her little trike through it. She would just ride around and around, going through the shower. Endless hours of fun :D
This is the link and the mood board for the challange...

And while I am here, I would also like to send a HUGE thank you to Scapbooking Delights & Kraft+. I was lucky enough to be a winner way back in September and won an awesome prize of a $50 prize pack from Scrapbooking Delights. Sandra was an absolute delight to deal with & when my prize arrived, I was completely over the moon.
Look! ....

Pretty sure there was more than $50 worth in there, just saying! Needless to say I will be shopping there again and have been singing their praises to all my scrappy friends.
Sorry it has taken me so long to write this but as we were packing when this arrived it pretty much went straight into another box so I could enjoy opening it all over again when we moved. Which I have.
I actually tried to sneak in the December challenge but missed the cut off by half an hour! Haha
So here it is anyway

And while I am at it, I was so excited when my prize arrived that I just had to sneak in one last lo before packing it all up but I missed the cut off for that one too!

Anyhoo, thanks for popping by and hope you are having a wonderful day..Jx

Merry Christmas & a D-Lish challenge

It might seem a bit strange that I have had time to scrap on Christmas day but what can I say...best day ever! :D  We had one of the "simplest" Christmas days I can remember - we moved one week and one day ago & no family around - and I was actually a bit worried that the not so wee ones would be upset today but no! It was just the four of us, we walked the dog, had a lovely lunch, played with presents and did as we pleased, which for me and Miss M meant scrapping! Our new space is far from ready and I can't find my favourite cutter or my caddy with all my essentials but that didn't stop me.
So here it is, my lo for the December D-Lish challenge...
Such a beautiful kit. Every month I set myself a little challenge to use everything in my kit on one lo but there is just so much that I am yet to succeed. I loved the adore you sentiment but found the wood just a little heavy so I copied it in white alpha stickers which gave me my title as well as a little more texture in the background at the same time.
And just for fun here is the state of a new craft space. Beautiful natural light but still a bit of work to do!
I hope you have all had a wonderful day and thanks for taking the time to pop by my little blog..Jx
