@45 - Kraft+

Kraft+ is a new challenge site and their first challenge looked so good I felt I just had to give it a go...

I have been scrapping quite a few photos of my Nana lately, mostly with my kids. I think part of the reason for this is that last week she had to go into a nursing hostel. Some of these photos, this one included, have come from her stash as we have been cleaning out her home. I have also found the process of scrapping these photos helped me a little bit with knowing how lucky we are to have her! It has been quite confronting to accept that my Nana is getting old!
Anyhoo, if I'm not careful this post will turn into a therapy session for me so best I get back to Kraft+ :) I really enjoyed putting this together and the colours worked so well with the flower I am holding & my little Tommy Turtle.

I loved this sketch & immediately had an idea in head of what I wanted to achieve :)
Then I struggled to make it happen! :(
However I think I am happy with what I finally settled on although it was not the original idea

WW1 Feb challenge - my little water baby

The challenge over at WW1 this month was with orange. Now I am NOT an orange person. Not one little bit! But would you believe that just this week I came across this photo of my son in a very orange floatie and believing as I do that things happen for a reason, I decided that this challenge must be the reason :D

My Creative Sketches January challenge

Howdy, I am back today to share my lo for the creative sketches challenge. January you say? A bit late you say? Ah, but no, this one doesn't close until the 14th Yay :D
This is my beautiful Nana with my DD & I am really pleased with the way this came together...

 I love when a layout just comes together finally. I have tried to scrap this photo a few times and end up putting it aside. This time it just worked. I have done this a number of times and although I like to try to persevere and not chop & change when I am trying to do a challenge, I believe that when it is right it will come together so am happy to do this.
Righto, off to finish the next lo sitting half finished on my desk!

CKC February kit

Hello from sunny (& very hot) WA! Time for my Feb kit for Counterfeit Kit Challenge. I started out with a slightly different kit based on some travel themed papers I found but it was a bit dark for my liking so I started again & came up with this....

This was the original kit..


I also had some leftovers from an embellie kit that I bought months ago from D-Lish Scraps. It was one of my favourites and I have been wanting to not waste any of it so in went the heart brads, gray white & black flower sequins & red sequins as well as the red striped bag and the little kraft pockets. Add some alphas, some dots & some shipping tags (and a few extra bits) & voila! One CKC kit :D
I'm really happy with this one & can't wait to start creating with it but right now I am off for a quick dip in the pool....
