CKC August kit

It's that time of the month again where I get all excited & inspired with new challenges & new kits. And what better place to start than with the Counterfeit Kit Challenge for August. That said, if I am really honest, I struggled with this one! I just really didn't have anything in my (vast) collection that I felt matched this at all! So, I decided to take a slightly different approach this month & picked out a few shapes & colours to build my kit on.
This is the original kit...

And this is what I came up with...
Some yellow, some brown, some blue. Some clouds, some spots, some feathers. With a dash of chip & doilies for good measure. I had some thick twine that matched the colours so have also included that & the rest I will just have to make up as I go along. Still, I am happy with the final result...just ;)
Here is the link to join in the fun & thanks for popping by..Jx

  3. Wonderful..it doesn't have to be a replica..just something you take inspiration from..and you did a great job! Mine is nothing like the colours, but it still think it has elements of the original.

  9. I see clouds and the rusty red color that is prominent in the inspiration. I think you are spot on in your version. Happy Scrapping!
