this house

Another one done, woo hoo! I felt like doing something a bit different, you know, not the kids ;D hehe
It looks a bit different these days but I have actually been lucky enough to go through this house as we still know the owners & it is such a special feeling to be in the house where your grandfather was born & then raised his own family! They even have 2 old milk cans , 1 with my grandads name on it & 1 with his fathers name on it plus lots of the old memorabilia from the apple orchard. Nan & I were there last year & she told me lots of stories & things. Anyhoo, I am rambling a bit now...
I have completed this lo for the challenge at Scrap365 & used almost a whole sheet of stickers from my counterfeit kit challenge at the same time...
This is the scrap365 sketch & the links are above...

I'm pretty happy with the final result. Thanks for popping by & have a great day..Jx

  3. Wow this is just gorgeous and I agree sometimes we got to get away from the kids layouts (mine are G-kids :) I love the story behind it and it's nice to take a look back. Love the rendition of the sketch :)

  4. Wonderful photo, and the rustic wood paper sets the tone. Adding the warm colorful accents is so nice to convey the love of family & that this place marks a period of your history.
