my very own mkr restaurant - Stuck?! October challenge

Well I finally have my second challenge for the month completed. This one has been sitting on my desk for a whole week! I just couldn't get time to finish it with kids on school holidays but last night was the night :)

This one is for the challenge over at Stuck?! & here is the sketch & the link...

And, I even used some more of my counterfeit kit. The coloured pp in the corners is the reverse side of the bright green in my kit as well as the other blue toned pp's. Happy days.

Thanks for popping by & have a great day..Jx

@13 - Scrap 365 October challenge

Well, I did it! I was determined to finish a lo yesterday using my CKC kit & at 11.30pm I finally went to bed. I've been out today with the kiddies (school holidays) so it has taken me until now to photograph it :)
This one is for the challenge over at Scrap365. I have turned the sketch on its side...

CKC October kit

You know, each month I faithfully put together my CKC kit. I have so much fun going through my stash, finding bits & pieces and matching it all together & then I usually manage 1 layout from it! One!! Two if I'm lucky. The months just fly by before I realise it. But I still love doing it every month, so here is Octobers....

The original kit by Hey Little Magpie was chosen by Laura & the colours are just divine so I have high hopes for this kit :D

One thing I don't have a lot of is bows but I found 1 sparkly bow & have included some pink twine so I can make some.
It's quite wet & miserable here today & there is no time like the present. I have some challenges printed out & am determined to complete at least 1 lo from this kit before the day is over so off I go....
Thanks for popping by & have a great day..Jx

School Project - Scrap the Boys

When I saw this challenge at Scrap the Boys, I knew immediately what photos I wanted to pick from. The theme is "domesticated boys". My 13yo son had to plan & cook a 3 course meal for his family, for a school project. The part I loved most was when he complained about trying to find something that everyone liked! Welcome to my world!!! :D

I ended up making a few suggestions & knew the creme brulee would be a winner because of the blowtorch :D He did really well, cooked the whole thing himself & even admitted to enjoying it. Not that I've managed to get him back in the kitchen again.
Thanks for popping by & have a great day..Jx

D-Lish September inspiration board

Creative time has been a little light on this month & blogging even lighter but I have just squeezed this one in :D I really do love the D-Lish challenges each month & although I was a little unsure about the colours to start with, I am very happy with my end result.

This is the mood board & link...

Holidays started here yesterday so if Mother Nature can now put on some beautiful sunshine, I should be able to add to my large pile of photos waiting to be scrapped!
Thanks for popping by...Jx

September CKC kit

Hellooo spring. I had a rather slow scrap month last month but am back for September & hoping for a much more productive month :)
First cab off the rank is my kit for CKC
The kit we had to counterfeit this month is "Hello Island Paradise"  from Scrapbook Circle
SC_Aug14_kit1 SC_Aug14_kit6
Gorgeous colours to work with. The first paper I noticed was the aztec type of design & I knew I had some old Prima that this reminded me of so out it came. Found a couple more from the same range & voila, I had the start of my kit...
Can't wait to start having a play with this but must clean up my craft table first! Oh well, off I go. Thanks for popping by & have a great day..Jx
